B8B Drive and B8B Drive 2
Last updated:

This policy covers B8B Drive (Byte ate Bits: Drive) and B8B Drive 2 (Byte ate Bits: Drive 2), together the "Games", provided by Byte ate Bits ("we", "us"). It applies to the web and mobile versions wherever they are offered.

We do not collect gameplay data or receive your saved player profile. Your name, progress, scores and settings stay on your device unless you choose to share a result. The Games have no accounts, advertising, analytics or third-party crash-reporting services. Loading online content does, however, involve technical requests to media servers, as explained below.

1. Information stored on your device

The Games use local device or browser storage for:

We do not automatically upload this information to our servers or provide cloud accounts, online leaderboards or progress synchronization. Tilt controls, when enabled, process motion sensor input on the device; the Games do not send those readings to any media source. We do not request your device's location, contacts, microphone or camera for gameplay.

2. Online media delivery

The Games request music and, where used, video from Cloudinary Ltd. and its delivery providers, through addresses such as res.cloudinary.com. Your device connects directly to the provider.

Music can also be delivered from our own file server, used as a fallback source. This server is used only to serve files, not for gameplay analytics, advertising or tracking.

To deliver a file, requests to either source expose technical information, including:

Our file server and its hosting infrastructure may record technical request information in access or error logs. Whether these logs are kept and for how long depends on server and proxy configuration and hosting arrangements. We do not promise that file delivery requests leave no logs or are processed only in memory.

Cloudinary's published privacy policy describes processing IP addresses, connection and usage information, and retaining CDN access logs for usage metrics and billing. Cloudinary and its delivery providers may process request information to deliver and operate the service, diagnose problems, maintain security and prevent abuse. An IP address may also indicate an approximate location; this is not GPS data supplied by the Games.

We do not include your driver name, scores, achievements, saved progress or control inputs in these media requests. You do not need a Cloudinary account. Its policies about customer registration or payment details do not mean that the Games ask players for those details. Media delivery is separate from advertising tracking, which we do not integrate into the Games.

We cannot promise that delivery requests are processed only temporarily or that no logs are retained. Cloudinary's public policy does not specify one fixed retention period for every end-user media request. Retention depends on its processing purposes, service arrangements and legal obligations. Cloudinary operates internationally, so processing may occur outside your country, subject to the safeguards described in its policies and agreements.

For Cloudinary's practices and privacy requests, see its Privacy Policy, Data Processing Agreement, or contact privacy@cloudinary.com.

3. Hosting, platforms and tracking

Opening the web version or a linked website also sends ordinary network requests to that site's hosting provider, which may process technical request data and access logs to serve and secure the site. This does not upload your locally saved game progress. App stores, browsers, operating systems and services you choose to open have their own privacy practices.

The Games do not use advertising identifiers, tracking pixels, behavioral analytics or third-party tracking cookies. We do not sell player information or use it to build advertising profiles. This policy page does not embed analytics, remote fonts, advertising or Cloudinary media.

4. Sharing is your choice

If you use Share or Share Result, the Games can prepare a card, your chosen driver name, a score, a track title and a challenge link. Depending on your platform, you may send this through the system share menu, copy it to the clipboard or save an image. We do not operate a server that receives these shared results. A destination you choose processes the content under its own terms and privacy policy. Once you share it, the recipient may keep it.

5. Your choices and deletion

You can change the optional name and settings in the Games. In supported mobile versions, you can remove downloaded music in Settings. Clearing the Games' app storage or the site's browser data removes locally saved progress and preferences. Uninstalling normally removes app-local data, but operating system backups, exported images and shared copies are controlled separately by you and the relevant provider. We cannot restore a server copy of your progress because we do not keep one.

Download unlocked tracks before playing offline in the mobile app to avoid needing to download those tracks during play. This does not remove delivery logs already held by a provider. To prevent network requests during a session, use your device's offline controls; content not already available locally may be unavailable.

6. Contact and privacy rights

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and anything you choose to attach. We use that information to respond and handle your request, not for gameplay analytics or advertising. We retain correspondence only as reasonably necessary to handle the request, resolve related issues and meet applicable legal obligations. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive data.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of personal information, obtain a portable copy, or complain to a relevant data protection authority. Contact us about information you provide to us or technical requests to our file server. For locally stored game data, the controls above let you manage it directly. For Cloudinary's processing, you may also contact Cloudinary using the details above.

Privacy questions: contact@byteatebits.com.

7. Children

The Games do not request children's personal information or create player accounts. The technical delivery requests described above occur regardless of a player's age. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address the request under applicable law. Parents and guardians should review the relevant store age rating and safety information.

8. Changes to this policy

We will update this page and its date when our practices change. If a future feature changes how player data is collected or used, we will update this policy before that processing begins and provide any notice or choice required by applicable law.
